What about the Tesla Cards? Im working on building a resolve windows system and im wondering if I need to spend the 4 grand on two tesla cards. Id much prefer to use the GTX series but ive heard that overclocked graphics cards can burn out easily hence the reason for the teslas. Could I run one gtx and one tesla in a system or do you need to have matching gpu's across the board?
It changes every day, but is always the same: research for Equilibrium.
I believe that the Image, as the language of Cinema, is formed by the conflict and harmony of the two different elements of life: Light and Darkness.
Trying to find an Equilibrium between these two opposite forces as I visualize different stories, becomes — every day — the reason for my creative effort.
The research of this is my own life.

Drivers are unified, if you change the device id and straps, the driver will recognize it as a quadro or tesla.

Keep in mind, telsa cards are compute only, your dvi outputs will be disabled.

Changing the straps on the rom is a bit of and/or math or you could flash say the quadro rom on a gtx, do not reboot, then re-flash your original gtx rom telling nvflash to not overwrite the straps.

You can put your card in an unrecognized state if not careful, but you can short the chip enable pin on the rom , just during boot, and then nvflash should see it again. you should have a spare card around if your attempting to do any of this.
