Canadian DIT just moved to Sydney

Aw, G'day, 'Stralia, how you going?

As the title says, I'm freshly landed here in Oz and keen to find work and meet other professionals. Right now, I'm researching the best way to enter the industry here in Sydney (just locked down a flat in Bondi). My background is that of a commercial DIT/video assist in Toronto, Canada with the fine fellas at Bling Digital. I have Red certification and numerous jobs under my belt, Red, Alexa... I'm really excited to get things under way but I'm not terribly sure of how things work in this city. Any advice would be hugely appreciated! Cheers!
