New SSD 512GB + 32GB

Hi All,

Has there been any updates or further announcements regarding the scarlet-sized Red Mags? I recall reading a post by Jarred that mentioned the upcoming battleship grey cards had their capacity increased to 48 GB while keeping the targeted price point the same. Additionally if I recall correctly, the same post stated a 9/28/12 release date target. I can't seem to locate that post anymore on Reduser - perhaps it was all just a dream!

I've also heard recent "rumors", which I suspect are nothing more then water-cooler gossip, that the Red Mag Mini and the Scarlet sized Red Mag are being merged into one and the same, aka a bracketing sleeve on a mini can be used in place of a standard Red Mag on Scarlet(and Epic).

Any information to clear up the subject is greatly appreciated. I'm looking forward to purchasing more memory from Red soon. Thanks All.

Nothing new to add.. We had to re certify the bigger mags remember. it went up to 48GB and have finished testing.. there is actually a few extra gigabytes that showed up along the way for free .. But we will continue to sell them as 48GB.

The rumor about the mini and scarlet mags being the same is not true.. but there will be an adapter for the mini mag to put them into normal size RED STATIONS.

Sorry for the delay in update... we found a (rare) self destruct sequence on the 48GB cards last week that required a card firmware change.. The fix is complete but it needs to go through a couple of weeks of testing to make sure everything is rock solid.

Serves me right for getting all cocky with the above post bragging about being on time. Karma is a bitch :)

Ha ha, don't be so hard on yourself... You guys have been doing an astonishingly Fantastic Job on getting things out in time as of lately with a all HUGE set of new toys... So S&^$# happens and we all know it, no big deal, and I'm not saying this just because I'll only use the 512GB Turbo SSD's and wan't use this small SSD's... ;)
