Don't worry about it Jarred, can't wait to get my hands on a few though.

Interesting that all the cards don't use the same firmware.

.... but it makes sense that they don't, different speed, different capacity, and probably different configuration of components within the (uniform) case.

I think I have experienced this "self destruct sequence" with my last girlfriend.

Serves me right for getting all cocky with the above post bragging about being on time. Karma is a bitch :)

heh heh heh.. post of the month :)

Thanks for understanding guys.. we really don't like to take chances on media.

All the cards have different firmware.. as mentioned some memory is slower than others, capacities are different, specially with these ones where we are creating a whole new non-standard size ( 50GB )

    Close.. $495 each or 4 pack = 4 x $460

How did you come up with that price?

Why would you mess with a non-standard size than a standard size like you had before 32Gb?

Thanks for the update Jarred. A minor delay to meet quality control expectations is completely understandable and greatly appreciated.

I gladly choose to have rock solid cards in a few weeks, then to discover a shoot acquisition is toast due to a firmware glitch!

Can anyone confirm whether or not the Mini-Mags are able to record full res 4k as well as proxies? I know there is talk of an adapter for them to work in the regular SSD slot so I am wondering if that means they can also be used for full res recording.

Also, was a price/release date ever hinted at? I've been gone from the community for a while.
