I have a Nehalem MacPro running Snow Leopard with a RED Rocket installed. I am using RED Cine X build 506. I don't do many RED transcodes but when I do it becomes a lifesaver.

I have found recently that the RED Rocket works with some media and not others. Here's the latest batch...

    3072x1728, 25fps, RED One, Mysterium X, REDCode 9:1 = Fast as lightning.
2048x1080, 25fps, Epic M, Mysterium X, REDCode 12:1 = Error decoding frames, spinning wheel of death.

As soon as I turn off the RED Rocket it transcodes normally (but obviously without the speed of the Rocket).

Was there a firmware update to work with the Epic? Are only certain frame sizes supported? Am I being stupid? Is there any other info I need to give you?

    Thanks for any help.

The latest built is 1.4.19. If you have an older version, I would suggest to try an update and see if the problem persists.

Sounds vaguely familiar... When started the symptoms?

Please upgrade to RedCine-X Pro, many improvements have been made including format support.
