And how they talk about being lucky to do a D.I. for the movie, and seeing them busy, how new it is, etc. .... It really hit me.

I'm young, I'm just 25 years old. And I already have a lot of this technology at my hand. I got Final Cut Studio 2, and learned dipping my toes in Color.
Now bought some Resolve tutorials, learning a bit of that (loving the power).
When I saw this feature for the first time on DVD, I was maybe 15 years old, never thinking such features or software (and hardware) power would be in any way within my reach.

And now with Black Magic giving the software for free away, and the full version with a camera.

How far we have come that all this power is available for so many people to learn, to use, to get great results. Grading RAW on a home computer.

We really have some brave companies (RED, Black Magic, Apple, ...) to thank for making such powerful technology affordable.

I'm constantly thinking the same thing. It is truly an amazing time for being a filmmaker.

With a Scarlet, a small light setup and a computer with a few softwares, you can make whatever you want. The only limit here is your imagination.

One of the best exemples is the Leo shoot with Fincher on the Red One MX.

For sure! Years ago a digital camera cost more than $100K US and I never thought I would be a pro camera owner. Thanks to the forerunners breaking ground in the industry I am now in a position to realize many long awaited dreams! You can pretty much have a small studio for that kind of money now...
