Hey Phil,
Nice to see you today. I really enjoyed your film in the competition. It was a real eye opener to see it in 4k. Keep up the great work!

Really awesome! Wish i was able to see it in 4K!
Aloha Phil,
"The World After" is a fascinating production! Very well done. To see your production process - that you have graciously shared - is a real treat. I don't think I'm alone in my appreciation of your amazing creativity and your natural talent for imparting creative and technical knowledge to others. Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences. I've learned a great deal from your postings on REDUSER and have explored your creative output elseware. Your creations are thoughtful and thought provoking and technically amazing in their execution. You inspire - that's a gift - thank you.
All the best...
Aloha and Mahalo,
Mike

Really great Phil, some beautiful shots there. And the post work really amazing. Thanks for this and for all your help here in reduser.
absolutely amazing. Thank you Phil. I'm sure we can all take a page from your book.
Wow! Thanks so much guys. Giving me goosebumps with all these kind words.
On the side of the industry I work in I've only exported and delivered DPX, CIN, EXR, or the rare TIF sequence for final delivery. DPXs are very a flexible high quality standard format that can be delivered anywhere in the world, which is likely why it's so popular. DCP standard is commonly JPEG 2000 based and if you are working with a particular vendor and know the exact specifics on how to create a full DCP package you could potentially deliver straight through to them. This could get tricky quickly though if this is new to you though. A lot can go wrong. If you have to go that route do some testing with some smaller clips first.
Thanks Josh. Red's allowed me to stay employed and do what I love doing for a living. It's good to give back where you can :)
I actually have never entered a festival in my life, but I think I'll give that try with this short.
Good to see you too Sam. It's small world after all!
Thank you so much Mike. This is one of the nicest things anybody has every "said" to me. That really means a lot.
Yep, that's me. I occasionally do conceptual design and illustration on games and features when and where I can. On certain productions I'm on from pre through post and there's a lot of opportunities to contribute. Freelance-wise I tend to get a lot of "hot" jobs that need characters or creatures pronto. If you see me there's a likely a sketchbook nearby. I draw everyday no matter what.
I used the Manfrotto 509HD and 536 tripod legs Marcus. I'm actually shocked how quickly the legs have become my go to for all types of work. They go from real low to about 7 feet high and are very light weight. I have two other tripods with typical two-stage legs, one with a floor spreader, one with a mid spreader. I didn't think I'd be able to live without that mid spreader, but this tripod/head combo has quickly become my go to on most jobs. The 509HD is a pretty damn good value.
