I'm using RCX Pro build 13 and am getting an error when trying to export Quicktime Wrappers for Epic 5K footage. The error in the log file is:

    redexport Apr 13 2012 08:57:17 Mac 32bit Public Release
    redexport: init msg received.

    redexport: bad initialization values

    Any ideas?

No matter what I do I can't get RCX Pro 13 to generate the proxies, which I need to reconform a FCP sequence for sending to Color. However, I fortunately still have a copy of RCX 504 and that generates the proxies perfectly with the exact same settings. Is this a bug in RCX Pro 13?

    Hi Mike,

Can you enable verbose logging, rerun the export and send the resulting log files to redcinex at red dot com? Two things to try immediately is to direct the export to your desktop (or some other safe location), and also create a fresh export preset just to ensure there are not bad settings in there somehow.

I've verified that Wrappers are working ok with 5k footage in build 13, but without verbose logs I can't further diagnose.

EDIT: Please also ensure you have installed the latest RED FCS3 Plugins from red.com/downloads, as you won't be able to view Epic wrappers without it.

    Cheers,
    David

Damn, that was it. I created a new preset and it works. Stupid mistake of just modifying the initial preset that was there by default. Thanks for helping, especially on a weekend.
