  1. #1 4k Scarlet footage not working in CS 5.5
    Hi guys,

This is probably an obvious one...

I have tried my scarlet 4K Scarlet footage in premiere CS5.5 but it will not play, when I try it gives says unsupported format or damaged file. However the files play fine in RedcineX.

    Also can't find a resolution that matches the scarlet's resolution of 4096 x 2160, 4k on premiere it is 4096 x 2048.

Any ideas on what I have done wrong?

    Thanks

    James

James, Brad Allen has created a series of tutorials. This is what I used to get started.

    http://www.reduser.net/forum/showthr...o-Premiere-Pro

The second tutorial is the one you are looking for. Also, there is a link to the Adobe importer. You need to do that step before Premiere will recognize the R3Ds.

    Good luck,

As Webster says, you need this importer plug-in to use Scarlet files in Premiere Pro CS5.5:
    http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/redepic_importer/

This functionality is built into Premiere Pro CS6.

On my computer (win7 + CS5.5 + the latest version of the epic importer), it still cannot import scarlet footage :-(
