    If so, why?

I've heard various things, like that One MX is more "organic".

    Just wondering what others thought.

Epic is definitely a better image, especially with the new color science and tools with RCXPro, though it could probably be said these things improve both images, but equally? I'm not so sure.

I've noticed definitely more noise on the R1MX even in daylight from the same scene compared to Epic from the same scene...RC42 4.5K on MX vs. 7:1 Epic in 5K -so much more information and gradation of colours in the image -less compression means less noise.

R1 MX is still a much better camera than most out there, but Epic is absolutely where it's at, and where things are going.

EPIC and REDONE MX had a look?... This baffles me...

I mixed the two together a few months ago in a job... Couldn't see any difference at all... But then again, I'm a true RAW user... not a backed in colour type of guy. I can get what ever "look" i want....

IIRC David Fincher is quoted as preferring the R1MX over the EPIC. This was in the context of TGWTDT. I don't use either of them so I wouldn't have th faintest idea. DSLRs, however, definitely have innate characteristics, even if subtle.
