I must be doing something wrong... ;)
This is in Redcine-X Pro 13 (thank you for fixing the still store so it doesn't crash!)
I scrub to a point in a clip that I like, create and apply a look, and add it to the still store position 1.
Now I want to make an adjustment and save it in still store position 2 so I can quickly toggle the two.
I change a parameter in the look section (FLUT or Kelvin, etc.)
The viewer will jump back to the first frame of the clip, making it necessary to scrub through to the initial frame I chose.
I can now store it in position 2 and compare back and forth.
That's all great except for the "finding the same frame after the viewer puts the scrubber on the first frame" part.
Is there a way to code the program so this doesn't happen? Or am I indeed doing something wrong?
    Cheers,
    Harry

Hmm. The clip should stay where it is. Are you doing the following?

    1. move playhead to somewhere in clip.
    2. adjust parameters
    3. Edit > Copy Look > Memory 1
    4. Adjust prameters
    5. Edit > Copy Look > Memory 2
    6. Drag Look Memory 1 onto Clip (clip should stay on same frame)
    7. Drag Look Memory 2 onto Clip (clip should stay on sae frame)

Otherwise you may have a bug. Are you creating stills? If so, thats a different thing altogether.

I'm following that procedure, but instead of "Edit>Copy Look> Memory 1", I'm simply pressing and holding still store button #1 to add it there. I think that's the same thing, just using a shortcut.
When I get to #4 on your list, the playhead goes to the head of the clip.
    Cheers,
    Harry

    Bob,
Are you referring to the "LOOK MEMORIES" positions 1 & 2 or the still store positions 1 & 2??

Are you using the Rocket as monitor output or the Viewer?

Today just the laptop CPU, watching with the Viewer.
Should I experiment and try to replicate with my Rocket? I can do that later today. On set and the Rocket is back at the office...

Storing stills will accomplish a similar thing but if you want to apply that look to different clips, you have to use the Look Manager or Look Memory anyway. So... I believe what I suggested is still a better option.
Your method will indeed force you to scrub from the beginning of the clip every time after checking your still image.

We see the issue here, it doesn't appear to happen every time but we can reproduce it.

    Thanks.

OK, at least it's not me then ;)
Would you like the log file or report from my RCX?
    Cheers,
    Harry

RCX pro has been doing this for the past several releases. Hope there is a fix soon. A functional still store is one of the most important parts of a grading app.
