Jobs & equipment sales should be separated

This is just a suggestion and not a complaint.
I hope other Redusers can comment on this also.
I believe there should be a separate tread for Jobs. and it should not be cluttered by equipment sales.

Definitely would be a good idea.

I would take it a step further — the whole marketplace section needs better organisation. First of all, with all its traffic, there should be a own "Marketplace" section.

Under the marketplace, we could have multiple sub-sections, which could be clearly named

- RED stuff for sale

- Cameras
- Lenses
- Quad Battery Modules (to be deleted in a few months)

- Non-RED stuff for sale

- Cameras
- Lenses
- Lighting gear
- Camera support

- Jobs

- Classifieds (for a fee of say $100 vendors that are not sponsors can finally promote their products; reduser members can comment and ask questions.)

P.S. And maybe the "COMPLAINT DEPARTMENT" could be renamed into "Complaints/Suggestions/Praise Department"?

Good idea. While you're at it, the Shot on Red section should be more elaborated too. There should be "Music videos, commercials,etc...", "Tests" and "Features/shortfilms".

You would be a hero to many if you can sell the Marketplace concept to the supreme powers (gotta make those designers feel appreciated).
Instead of a temporary Quad, just name a thread "Modules & AKS" - that will be a keeper.

Suggest that you move Rentals (both looking for and available) to Marketplace.


Eventually a "Crew Calls" that is buffered to delete postings over 15 days old.



Would also like a method to ask moderators to move a thread to a more appropriate heading.
Mis-categorization dilutes the experience...

EDIT: Last recommendation would add a button similar to the current "Report" in the lower left corner - would state:
"Note: This is ONLY to be used to suggest comment should be moved to ______"

+1 for seperating these sections. I didn't even know there was a "non Red stuff for sale" section until recently. A lot of people get confused and post non Red items for sale in the "Red stuff only" section too.
