    Hi Guys,

Has anyone experienced any problems after performing a black shade calibration?
I performed a calibration and after successfully completing the sensor area in the monitor started to flicker with horizontal lines. Then half of the screen became covered with a pink block (photo attached).

I decided to try and do a system reboot and after this the monitor did not come on.
I left the camera unplugged for serval minutes, the monitor came back on, but still the sensor area is covered up. When I attach a lens, the image that I can see appears like i have the camera settings at a very low shutter speed as it appears blurry or just generally lagged.

Any advice of general practice to how I could resolve this issue?
I have submitted a ticket to Red.

    Many thanks,

    Phil

Have you contacted tech support at RED? They tend to be pretty responsive to these things.

Quick search of the forum, This thread talks about having the same error code as you. Probably a good idea to get the ball rolling and contact RED support. EDIT: Terry beat me to it!

Did you have anything else besides LCD and side handle attached to the camera during the black shade?

I've had similar problems where a third of the frame would be pink and also some random frame in a clip would have it, but just one single frame in random places during a clip.
I just updated firmware to 3.0.6 so hopefully that will solve everything.

I contacted them through this link:
    http://www.red.com/contact_us

But I'm UK based, so all the Red Europe offices are closed at the moment. I've submitted a technical support ticket through the link as soon as it happened but no reply yet.

CLINT, has the beta firmware update helped your issue? Did you ever get an error message like I did?
    ERROR: 0X0000001D

    Thanks,
    Phil

    Phil,

Was there an SSD in the camera when you did the black shade? In your first photo it doesn't show one being mounted in camera. If i remember right a formatted SSD needs to be in the camera.

    Hi Dave,

Yes an SSD was in the camera. These photos were taken after the calibration had completed. I tried taking out the SSD and then theside handle to see if it would help fix the problem.

Its now with Red Europe at Pinewood. From the error code I sent, they say that it could be something to do with the communication board.
Hopefully find out tomorrow with the log I sent them and with the camera in their possession.

I'll post back here when I find out any new information.
