Hey guys, no, I have not forgotten about my trip to Wellington, NZ, just had to delay, in fact it will be most likely one of my most memorable and well covered trips of my "EPIC World Tour".

Lots is happening here in Italy, apart form the continuos preproduction for our first movie "RAPE of a BEAUTY" and the prepping of the largest announcement I have made in my life, justly so about a larger then life project.

at last I'll be coming to WELLINGTON, NZ next month, exact dates to be determined within the next few days, most likely the very beginning of MAY!!

It will be an absolute blast to finally get to see GORGEOUS NZ, and finally meet in person some of you fellow REDUSER in and around WELLINGTON, visiting PARK ROAD and WETA facilities to discuss future projects in the works... ICING ON THE CAKE!!

While there I could be needing a Videographer or a photographer or both for behind the scenes documenting of my trip there, I'll be bringing my CANON 1D IV with me, if there is any locals that are up for it, please let me know, also any suggestions on local Hotels would be great, my stay would be about 2 weeks.

RED EPIC M8 of course will be also visiting and shooting what ever possible during this time, as well as some Test Plates for our next Feature Film which will take place in NZ... ;)

So look forward to this trip!!

PS: Even so will further burry me with work left to do here in Rome for "RAPE of a BEAUTY" and KETCH ROSSi TREE of LiFE, but I guess this is a Trip I can not longer push back... Surprise Surprise... ;)

Crap, why am I just finding this out???

I had no idea the Wellington was one of the most dangerous Airports for Crosswind landings, and most of them were in various years in MAY!! Same time I'm going... CRAP!!


Oh well, I guess this will be one of those times that I really do listen and respect the "REMAIN SEATED WITH YOUR SEAT BELT BUCKLED TILL WE COME TO A FULL STOP" message... ;)

Wellington is a great place. I am there often for work.

An apartment at the Museum Hotel is my preferred place to stay. http://www.museumhotel.co.nz/

You have to get out of the city if you want to see the beauty... ideally you want to get out of the North Island and come on down to the South. Take a flight to Queenstown if you have the time... thats the best spot (and where I live). If you are shooting location based projects, Queenstown offers more than anywhere else in New Zealand.

Hi Ketch, I'm Auckland based but I'm possibly going to be down in Wellington sometime in early May, coincidentally with an Indian producer who is visiting to discuss some co production possibilities, whose last film, even more coincidentally, was a co production with Italy! So hopefully there'll be yet more coincidences in the offering and I'll get a chance to meet you.

Actually I might end up landing in Auckland... I take signs in life pretty seriously, and might be also a good idea to do a nice drive to Wellington form there and see some country... ;)

Hey! Don't agree with the South Island remark. South Island is gorgeous but looks like a more spectacular version of Northern Europe. The North Island is where you will see things you have never seen before. Go to Rotorua, go to see the big Kauri trees, visit the beach where The Piano started just outside Auckland, and much, much more. Oh I forget the the caves with the glowing worms near the west coast; all these things make it clear to you why Lord of the Rings was filmed in New Zealand. What I found most stunning is that you'll be looking at the landscape and think for a moment that you're in Scotland, if it weren't for the trees that make you think you're in Kenya
