    It seems like it's the wrong time to invest in a good suite, at least if it's not absolutely necessary to build a system right now... I'm currently doing only short spots, but I would buy a system tomorrow if it seemed like a relevant investment 6 months from now...

    - Update on Mac Pro's are long over due (i'm not going to windows again), and I hope for an update...
    - RedRocket is getting old, and my best bet is an update of the codec to support GPU acceleration, CUDA or similar...

    Thoughts?

    Asfar as the Red rocket card, it will be relevant for at least a year. In Jarred's "question" thread, he stated there is no Rocket v.2 card coming out any time soon. My guess is they will piggyback a Rocket revision along with the Dragon program sometime in 2013.

    Jeff Kilgroe has some pretty reasonable guesses about a Mac Pro update coming in the fall...and with a pretty healthy price.
