It looks like the screws will match up on the backpack quick plate with the belt clip plate. I purchased the backpack plate and got the x plate and it works great!

I had to do this on a recent shoot. I camera-taped the battery belt to a 15mm rod clamp, and attached that to the back of the top bars. worked a treat and was fairly sturdy. it wouldnt take much to bolt the plate to a rod clamp for a long term solution.
im probably going to do exactly that as it seems to be the cheapest way to use redbricks.
Ill add a crap pic of the setup to give you an idea.

Oh Wow that looks really versatile. Are you sure this can be mounted to the DSMC BELT CLIP? Is anyone using it this way?
