Is it possible to buy a set of new (aluminum or titanium) screws for the RED ONE body? The ones in my camera have started rusting (even though I haven't exactly had the camera near the ocean more than a couple of times)?
I'm pretty sure I saw a photo of Jarred's RED ONE that sported a set of neat red screws.

I'd also chime in... the body of our original "M" is still "rock solid & clean" but the screws really don't look good anymore - still holding everything perfect in place but rusty on the outside and with a dirty look (we used it for years, most of the time not under studio-conditions but rather outside). Maybe I should threat them to a nice oil/cleaning-bath but just buying a new set of screws to exchange them would be the better-looking and -feeling route. Maybe the option to also get an replacement-fan would be nice (still running fine but not as silent as on day one anymore - even after cleaning from dust).
The cam itself is still rocking - just to mention :)

If you send your camera into RED, they'll usually replace the screws for you.

If I am not mistaken, Jarred strongly discouraged the use of aluminum (I believe he did say their use would void the warranty) because of problems with stripping or some such. Not sure what RED would say about Ti screws; sounds cool, though.

The black oxide caps are the equivalent to ASTM A574 (grade 8), very durable and oxidize slowly, so as long as it is not continuously used in a marine or highly acidic environment they hold up well. Also aesthetically they go well with the Red One.
