I've skated on these CCS wheels before. They come in solid black and they come in red too.

Here is a slightly different config with 4x back wheels... this is also a nice packshot dolly that fits into the palm of your hand and turns the quick plate into a super sturdy straight moving dolly...

Really like this concept, even better than having to use the clutch, for as you say a backpack type of getup. It needs a cross bar or some way of making the wheels able to roll the camera sideways. How about a new clamp that could repurpose the front wheels from the clutch that would screw into them allowing for change of direction?

    Nice thinking Björn... ;)

So if you just get the 4 clamps, then you can put in any size Skate wheels you like?

To me this option does not have even half the possibilities as the "speed racer" since that allows you to move in any direction and also make perfect arc's if wanted. Also, whats even more important... The speed racer lets you set the tilt angle of the camera. So if you have a clutch. The 3 wheel speed racer setup is so much nicer than those four.

But then again... this can be set into so many things. take two long rods. put 4 wheels on. put a small tripod head on the rod mount, put your camera on the tripod head... viola you got a small low rider dolly on skate wheels. then you can roll by and pan at the same time...

It might sound strange but due the quite heavy weight of the epic and the robustness of the clutch it just moves like that was what it was built to do, it feels like it's on tracks. I know that on the pictures here it all looks a bit flimsy, but when pushing it over the table/floor etc it just behaves like a large dolly or such.

I think Red should implement it on their clutch and also make their wheel handle so that it had ball bearings and a break, making it into a super multi purpose wheel handle thingy.

I think I know what you are thinking Ketch. But that only goes to a certain extend. So no, you can not use the wheels from your truck and put them there.... :)
