Same with SSD percentage next to it to format, eject, and other stuff.

Coming to think of it, it would be nice if in a future firmware one could get rid off these messages also by pushing the record button. (Great in time-pressed situations and/or when no touchscreen/redmote/sidehandle is attached.)

    Thanks!

I also get it all the time. I realize it's just a bug, but I do go back and play my clips out of paranoia, so it is a little anoying.

You guys should not be seeing this error message unless you pull power or hold the power button down too long (which will activate the hard power off). If you are consistently seeing this when powering down through the menus I'd like to see some log files.

Same issue here. 3.0.0. Also kinda related when powered back up and running off Redvolt occasionally get 0% battery power but camera still operates fine. Next time it happens I'll send a log.

Hang on. I thought momentary press of side red button went into Record, and long press eventually prompted controlled shut down (with Shutting Down message). So how can we hold the button down TOO long?

I also get it a lot - no matter which firmware release I use - particularly when using the rh record/ power up button - sometimes 70-80% of the time. I have now assigned a SH button to power down which seems to produce far fewer 'improper shutdown' messages.
