So Im going to say go buy to my old AJA Kona LHE for a new BMD card instead. Trying to figure out which one to get?

I dont care to have any capturing features on it as Im only going to use it as I/O card. Is there any of them that is more suited to be working with redfiles? Im thinking DeckLink 4K sounds like it have a longer lifespan. Would be real nice to have a card that is ready to run in 4k once those 4k displays starts to go down in price. I don't think I will be shooting any stereoscopic anytime soon so thats option I can easy live without. Since Im going to build a new computer for resolve it even interesting with the thunderbolts solutions black magic has.

the Decklink 4K needs to be in an 8X pci slot, the Decklink Extreme 3D only has to be in a 4X slot. To output 4K you must send it out via 4x SDI cables (Decklink 4K), so the display or projector must have 4 sdi inputs available to receive the 4K signal.

I have a Decklink Extreme 3D and love it, and since I have a gtx470 in slot 1, a gt120 in slot 2, that only leaves me with 2 4x slots so one is for the RR and the other the Decklink Extreme 3D. I wouldn't have anywhere to put the 8x Decklink 4K card as my system is perfect for Resolve now in this configuration. If I swapped the gt120 to a 4x slot so the Decklink 4K could have the 8x slot my performance would slow way down...But that is for my specific use.

I would love to have another 8x slot in the Mac Pro for the Decklink 4K card so I can future proof my system, but unfortunately that isn't an option. Honestly I'd love to have both installed in my system. The Decklink Extreme 3D for displaying to the 1080p plasma and production monitor, as well as displaying 3D images when I need to, and the Decklink 4K connected strictly to the RED RAY Projector for 4K simultaneous playback. That would be my ideal theoretical setup.
