i dont have that handle, but the x side handle, but it attaches the same way and i almost set up my camera exactly as pictured on the outrigger handle product page on red.com. i would reccomend a small cheese plate like the x easy plate, easy plate xl, or easy top x it you want alot of mounting options. i just got the side handle, top handle, and the easy top x. really happy with everything. would of bought the red easy top but i liked the look of the WC one.

the nice thing about the WC side handles are they have screw mounts along the length of the arm to mount the monitor, which i have done and is nice.

Yes you will need to get your own longer screws.

Alternatively you buy a new top plate, or one of ryans smaller plates from x and then the two can go side by side, rather than in top of one another.

That's a good way to go for maximum versatility and lots of mounting points. RED had some cameras at NAB with the outrigger mounted at an angle on top plates, which I liked because it brought the outrigger handle in closer to the brain.
