I know several posts are up already on this workflow but cant seem to find an answer.
I could grade in REDCINE X PRO and export to ProRes for final 2K output but have been using Color for a few years now so want to see what i can do with 4K footage.
Would love to use Resolve but i'm running an iMac and the graphics card is not supported.
Here is the workflow i'm having a problem with if any of you guys can help...
1.Open Scarlet 4K clip in REDCINE X PRO
2.Export to Pro Res Proxy
3.Edit in FCP.
4.Export XML (and EDL,i've tried both) from FCP.
5.Import XML or EDL back into to REDCINE X PRO to relink the 4K media.
6.Export(shallow) EDL from REDCINE PRO X.
7.When i try to import the EDL into Color,i get a dialog box to set frame rate/res etc but the Scarlet clips wont load in.
I have selected the source directory in Color to where the original R3D's are but the directory wont import.
Frustrating stuff-obviously doing something wrong,just not sure what....
Any help greatly appreciated.
