I sure am glad I don't shoot charts for a living, that job sucks ;-) My Ekran speeds handled CA better than S4s on a projector. It's the imperfections in glass that I like, so not being technically perfect isn't exactly a deal breaker. I would love to meet Mr. Lomo. Sorry I can't make it.

I just participated in the Luma Tech Lens Training seminar in Miami. I am the Owner of a rental house in Vienna. www.digirentalwien.at . We bought one set and we are ordering another set. Therefore it was good to know something about the inside of the lenses. Also we are a reseller. Our opinion is that for the money you pay you get a lot of value back. Have a look at clips at vimeo by Bernhard Roschitz. (http://vimeo.com/user11320401) There you will find some films done with the Illuminas S35 and the great PS cam x35. A good combination because of the speed of the lenses under 1.3 with the speed of the Camera 450 fps.

Can anyone reccomend a good shop to service Lomos in the US? Last time I asked, Duclos doesn't service Lomos anymore.

I am reluctant to send my glass back to Russia for service.

Only just got around to watching this. Ye Gods, that was absolutely dreadful.

They *can't* be intended to be that bad; something got thumped or out of alignment surely?

I know our optical technicians have worked on Lomos in the past. Give our Services Dept. a try.
