Oh really? Because here's a photo of a 4K screening of "TimeScapes" at my friend Peter Chang's house the other night, using the new Sony 4K home projector....![]()

but I wanna watch timescapes on a Red Laser projector this year!
Party's at Peter Chang's house! Bring your 4K size popcorn :)
Nice, Tom. I can't wait to see it somewhere Downunder.
I know of homes that have theatrical Christie and Sony 4K-capable projectors in them. They're not practical from a size, cost, and noise point of view, but they're getting there. Finding good 4K source material is an issue, but that'll eventually happen.
I'm still more concerned about how the projectors reproduce dynamic range. 4K is meaningless unless it also handles black detail, contrast, good grayscale, accurate color, and all the other aspects of picture quality. The "K" is only one small part of picture quality.
I want to go to there....
hi tom ,
how the projector was connected ? what kind of media ?
thanks
