Clyde, is this any different to what the cineform workflow can achieve by keyframing zoom and other keyframable parameters inside of FirstLight? Naturally, the key to performing this would be to start with 4k files so you have the res to zoom and pan.

@ Les >>Is this processing the disparity and increasing it to avoid the 'cardboarding' effect mentioned as a possible issue ?

No Les, the one step shown in the workflow of the video is a simple HIT. Depth Sculpting is with systems such as Mistika and yes Nuke+Ocula with a disparity pass or indeed with Emotions 3D suite etc.
I even did this sort of thing with Re;Flex (
http://realvision.ae/blog/2010/08/3d...alflex-method/) but yes, it depends on the scene and may/may not have artifacts.

So to answer your question; No the zoom is a different workflow and may or may not use HIT, depending on taste of the stereographer.

@ Mark. Your right, you can do this with Neo3D in FirstLight. In fact the worflow can be done in a number of packages including Nuke, Fusion etc.
I just showed it under After Effects (but all workflows would need 4k imagery for final out of HD, unless of-course image integrity is not of prime importance)
