Beta Camera Build 3.2.8

I just updated and now my side handle is not working, no LCD display and nothing functions except powering the camera from the RedVolt with 0% reading.
I rolled back to the v2.0.5 and then back to v3.0.0 and then to v3.0.7 following all the instructions about removing the side handle and now I think it is dead. Anyone else have similar issues? I have a ticket submitted, but I wanted to know if anyone else could help me out sooner.

My side handle quit in 3.28 after some use. I have rolled back both of my Epics to 3.07. All seems fine now. Methinks 3.28 went too far too fast. Hope to see a stable update soon. Loved the new features...

Stuart, sorry to hear about your troubles, but a little relieved too. I had exactly the same results. Exactly. A perfectly functioning side handle, upgraded to 3.28 and the SH was completely non functional. Battery read 0%, but no function whatsoever. Downrevved to 3.07 no change, back to 3.0.0 no change, back to 3.28. Filed a red support ticket. Sent it back yesterday, haven't heard yet. Will keep you apprised.

Let me know how it goes - I live in Canada so sending it back is more than a huge hassle and expense, customs is always trouble in these situations - they love to charge duty and tax on items you already own.

I'm a little relieved as well, all things considered. I thought for sure that I had shorted it out or done something wrong. Hopefully its a software glitch that can be fixed quick.

Next problem is the signal strength drops to 1 red bar when the RedMote is more than 24 inches from the camera!!!

yep, the signal strength on my Redmote indicator seems to have dropped. However I can still use it 12 feet away, and have been doing today.

I shot a TVC with this build the other day ( I have to admit I intended to roll back to 3.0.7 before the shoot, but forgot). On a sailboat, on land and using both PL and Canon mounts. No issues whatsoever. Looking good this build. Just wish my EPIC could handle phantompower :-(

Everything is working well for me now on 3.2.8 since I did a force upgrade. Great build which points to the cameras full potential. I only have one issue. I cannot upgrade the Redmote to the latest beta build that comes with the 3.2.8 beta package. I have followed the procedure in the manual. My mac tells me I am connected to the red mote. However, when I use the upgrade utility it consistently tells me that it cannot find the device. Any advice?

Appart from an occasional white screen after booting, which is solved by un and re-plugging the monitor or re-booting the camera, everything seems to be working fine so far. Oh and sometimes on Canon lenses, changing the aperture on the touch-screen doesn't change it for real on the lens.
Great to see the new 2/3/5K-HD modes ! And the new way to set the key shortcuts and presets is impressive.
Can't wait to see what that gyro can do. Combined to the new 3D-tracking feature in After Effects CS6 and to its Warp Stabilizer, this could be amazing !

I still see 2 important features missing : simultaneous HD-SDI and HDMI outputs, and audio playback. Any news on these ? ;)

Try to connect it with USB cable to PC/Mac and then upgrade.
