There you go, chaps. Hacked, cracked and optimised. PDF security means nothing to PC users :-)

A big Thank you to all at Red for this. As a Pal user, I would like to ask if there's any possibility for the extra 4fps to push the 5K HD mode on the Epic to 100fps? These 4fps while not much in terms of slow motion impact are fairly important under regular lighting (non high speed optimized). Thank you again and keep pushing!

Agreed. A 5K HD PAL mode ? A few pixels less but 100 fps.

I hear from several people that have succesfully updated their Scarlets to 3.2.8 and have no problems whatsoever; while i'm experiencing all kind of weird behavior. Pressing record crashes the camera. Timecode sometimes displayed in blue and recording not available. Parts of screen turning white. SSD's most of the time not found/recognized.

I wonder if there is a new hack of workaround that i need knowing of. I have tried EVERY workaround mentioned in this thread already, including step by step rollbacks, reinstalls, forced upgrades, factory settings before and after - you name it, so i can save you time pointing me to posts in this thread.

    I'm getting a bit desperate...

I have an important shoot coming up next friday and i'd like to use both phantom power and the LCD stutter-fix.
Is an update or fix to be expected before friday? Anything else a Red Team member can suggest, that's really new?

    Thanks,

    Martin Beek.

it makes me shudder to think that you'd want to use a Beta update (that you've been having trouble with) just so you could use phantom power. If I was in your shoes and had an important shoot, I'd want to be back on a stable software release, and I'd find / beg / borrow a mic system that doesn't use phantom power. The cost of a stable solution seems far less than the chance of blowing the whole shoot.

    Just my 2 cents...
Can't believe I get paid to do this.
If I don't own it I rent it...

You are 100% right, of course, but the LCD stutter is driving me crazy and prevents me from making stable pans. But, indeed, i think i'll settle for the stable release. Was just interested to learn if i missed anything.

Hey Martin, should be an updated beta build coming this week that will hopefully get you out of the mud.
