Ahh, just found out that I have to click Advanced, then I can add an attachment to my message.

So here are my presets which let button 1 on the front of the side SSD toggle the Epic between 5k 25fps and 2k 240fps.

I'd even sacrifice iris control with the front rotary dial to be able to fine tune the focus steps. If it was the only possible solution, adjusting focus with the rocker and focus steps with the rotary would be fine. And it wouldn't be much of a sacrifice: f-stop and shutter speed can easily be controlled with two top buttons on the side handle. To be able to accurately adjust focus with the side handle would be a fantastic boon for any lens, but I have a Tamron 24-70 that can't be adjusted manually when in auto-focus mode. This would be an excellent solution.

Curtis, looks like you and I chose some of the same key mappings. I also programmed the front rotary dial to control iris, but I would also give that up to have "focus change increment size" mappable to that dial. I would probably then do with iris something that I've already done with auto focus mode, which is program one of the main user buttons on the side handle to bring up the dialog and clear it with release of the button, which allows not only a quick check of the mode you're currently in but, as long as you hold that button down, you can quickly use the navigation scroll wheel to dial in your mode of choice. When you release the button, the menu is cleared, so you don't have to take the time to do that via the menu button or touchscreen. Ergonomically, it seems to be pretty easy to do with the right hand while the camera is on a tripod and should be quite doable handheld as well with any rig that gives you solid left hand support. You could do the same with iris: hold the programmed button down, scroll to the desired f stop, release button, which clears menu from screen.

I like that idea. We also have the option of leaving iris control on the front rotary and using a preset to create a modifier key for the rocker (or the rotary dial for that matter.)

    Rocker default action..........= near/far focus
Press key X, rocker action....= increase/decrease focus step size
Release key X, rocker action = restore default near/far focus

And there are probably a lot more options; users would have to play with them to discover the most ergonomic. I think we're ready. Bring on focus fine tuning.

Thanks Trent, missed this thread entirely. Wow, this really helps us UW guys utilize the touchscreen to take control of our needs with some simple control shafts.

Ok, still can't seem to figure the Presets out, I get everything programmed and then apply the preset to user button 1 on the side SSD module and when pressed it shows the preset text on screen for a sec. but no changes happen.

I am trying to set User button 1 on the Side SSD Module to change from 30 fps to 96 fps and have the settings set to relative for the Shutter speed change to 192 but it's not working. Can anyone help me?

Maybe also map the preset to the UP arrow on the LCD touchscreen this would also work as I have a control shaft on my housing for that currently.

Thanks for any help with this, greatly appreciated. The new Presets and being able to assign these to the buttons is quite amazing. Just have to figure it out.

I have a side handle but can't use side handle in the housing UW, I can only use the buttons on Side SSD and on the LCD touchscreen for control. I have down arrow assigned to calculate white balance when pressed.

Can you attach the presets you created so I can take a look at them?

Obviously not doing it right, reading again.

Ok, got a preset made to go from 30fps to 96 fps, assigned it to down arrow on LCD which is fine but I guess I have to use another button to change it back to 30 fps with set at relative for ss change. So, is the second button necessary to preset back to original settings?

You know I did the exact same thing over again and this time it changed my settings as it should. A bit puzzled by that.

Thanks and any suggestions are appreciated. This is a major deal for us filming underwater.

I programmed ssd side user buttons to change iris up and down for auto control of Canon lenses and one button on LCD to do single auto focus. Great stuff.

Edit, just now created a new preset to go back to original 30fps/60ss mapped to up arrow on LCD. It works but after I cycle once the up arrow reverts back to image magnify. Anyone? Still working on a one button ack and forth toggle between 30/60 and 96/192. Is this possible to toggle with one button?

Thanks anyone for help with this.

Ok, after setting both presets I shut the camera down to see if I could keep them set. After rebooting the camera it allowed me to use two buttons to go back and forth. After two back and forth toggles between buttons the up arrow button reverted back to image magnify. Ok, I give.
