I was watching a pigeon and decided to put a 180mm in front of the Epic and give a try to the 1K ws at high frame rate.
    Me like it!
It can be really handy in some cituations.
You guys at Red quarter never sleep.
    What a lucky user I'm.
    Cheers

    Edit:
And on that sample I tryed to push the frame rate a little bit higher with twixtor. Aka 30% (1333fps)

Brice, did you sharpen or alter the image in some ways in post?

So far almost every clip I've seen in 1K WS is not as sharp as yours.

Well, maybe it's just the 180mm Leica doing its magic.

I wonder if shooting at a higher res / slower rate with Twixtor creating the frames might give even better results? Any way do do a comparison test?

Admitted, it does look good on this screen, but what about bigger?

With Twixtor it is luck of the draw - you never know when ghastly actifacts will rear their most unpretty heads. You can't count on Twixtor to work, and about as often as not it fails. Plus, it never looks quite the same.

This looks great. Whether it's the Leica glass, or how it was shot & graded, def the best 1K clip I've seen so far. And...kinda funny...those small plumes of feather dust floating away from the pigeon is kinda hilarious...it's like city dirt flying off...
