Running Redcine 3.1.2 on Macbook Pro 2.4 ghz with 4 Gb Ram, QuickTime 7.5.
After deleting Redcine Folder from Library it opens and I can import clips, but when I try to open an XML file, the Open File window appears but wont let me choose any destinations, and I am unable to import the XML from Crimson.
I've just installed REDCINE on my laptop, a Toshiba M200 Satellite running on XP platform. The laptop is a Intel (R) COre 2 Duo cpu T8100 (2.1Ghz with 2 GB of ram using an Intel 965 Express Chipset Family. When I open REDCINE the display is not clear, everything looks smeared. I've already updated my video driver and I still have the same problem. What could be the problem?
I made a shorter sequence and exported the XML and now RedCine will let me open the XML, but now when I export a QuickTime ProRes HQ, it is out of sync with the original sequence that I have edited. I have checked the Frame Rate in Camera 23.98, FCP Sequence with Proxies 23.98, Crimson XML 23.976, And have tried 24, 23.98 and 23.976 in the Project settings in RedCine but still the same problem, the Exported ProRes file from RedCine is out of synce with the audio in the FCP Timeline, despite them both having the same FrameRate. Every cut in the sequence becomes one frame farther off, and it is impossible to sync to any dialog. Does anyone have any idea, or had this problem? Maybe RedCine is exporting at 29.98 despite it saying 23.98? That is what is seems like is happening to me, but I can't seem to fix it.
Running 3.1.2 on Mac Pro 3.0 16GB RAM, Nvidia 8800, Leopard.
So far:
" failed to write frame" - when exporting single tiff
RGB dots appearing on the bottom of the picture
crashed on white balance (after "load all" multiple shots imported - more than 200)
I have severe banding with RC V3.1.2 i just processed a shot that i already processed a month ago with great results. the same shot processed today is totally banded and only around 19 mbits/s data rate. the same shot processed with the exact same setting on and earlier Ver. of RC was 75 mbits/s and no banding was evident. unfortunately i have a lot of B16 footage that i need to process but I am getting too much banding and way too small of files.
O.K. here is a problem for me, it seems I am alone in this but V3.1.2 is not processing QT files properly. footage is coming out banded and in very small files size/data rate mbits size. I processed that same clip today in RC 108 and an earlier ver. as well, what ever i was using last month. and they looked great QT/JPG/Maximum/full/1080 but that same clip in RD312 looks terrible. after three days of trying everything i am convinced there is a problem with 312 and QT output. both JPG and Apple Pro Res HQ look bad.
I'm getting the Quicktime Freeze Frame issue (I think). I've about 20 clips in RedCine and after a few minutes into the first one it sticks on a frame and repeats it through all the remaining clips. How do I get rid of this?
RC 3.1.2, Octo-MP, QT 7.5, Leopard 10.5.4
