    A Few Notes:

    - Using the Apple+F11 feature is great, but sometimes causes "unclickable objects" in Redcine when you jump back into the program. Meaning sometimes you can still move clips around in the library, but sometimes you can't. Or you can't move around on the player timeline.
    - Still getting QT Freeze Frames trying to export anything QT based. I.E. ProRes, Motion Jpeg, DV, etc...
    - Only thing that works great is batch DPX export, but we truly need to get ProRes working properly please.

    System 1:
    Quad Core Mac Pro 2.66Ghz
    RedCine 82
    4 GB Ram
    Geforce 7300 GT

    System 2:
    8 Core Mac 3.0Ghz
    RedCine 82
    6 GB Ram
    ATI Radeon

I haven't tried a clean install of the latest build, but previously:

Clean install from a non-admin user under OS X will crash out rather than ask for administrator privilege to modify /Library.

EDIT: More accurately, if the first run is under a non-admin user.

F11 to switch out during a Redcine output causes a crash about 75% of the time.

When outputing with 'Guides' on for burn in, Redcine doesn't output with any changed parameters from the Color tab - ie, no color correction.

In the shot drawer, while in the color tab, if I scroll ahead on the timeline and click a shot, the timeline doesn't move to the clicked shot, and the shot drawer timeline jumps back to the current shot.

I'm getting pink artifacts when the 'highlight' parameter is at 100.

If you unmount a disk in which RC was pulling footage from (while RC is closed) it will crash when you start-up because it can't find the footage.

My workaround has just been to trash everything in the
    Library > Redcine folder.

    Mac Os X:
Currently Redcine places it's data files in the /library/redcine folder.

The correct path would be ~/library/application support/redcine.
This would also allow multiple users to have different settings.

Did some Redcine on my 30" cinema display. Next day tried to launch without the display attached to my 17" MBP and Redcine crashed on launch. Deleting the library/redcine folder got me up an running again.

if this is not a bug, please explain how to handle with it and remove this post.

    Hi,

Jpegs export doesn't work, batch process or snap shot. any size you choose as 4K, 2K, 1K.... It gives me beautiful grey pictures...

F11 take 5 or 6 seconde to go from RE cine to the finder.

Sharpness doesn't work on any files format I have tried ; DPX, OPEN EXR, CINEON, TIFF, JPEGS

When I export files, many times the sofware freez, preview is full of colors.
set another size and every things is fine.

  10. #20 RedCine miserably slow
Trying to output a 90 second clip into ProResHQ @ HDTV size - and it first says it will take 16 hours. Uh oh, and to think I have an hour of footages. A minute later and it drops to 8 hours, but still, it seems to take forever. Ten minutes later (it should've been done by now).

Macpro, 8 proc x 3.0ghz, 2 RAM, QT 7.4, OSX 1.5, and the videocard that came with the machine.

Also - I use two monitors - actually three (one with a BM card). When I open REDCINE it somehow defaults to the wrong monitor (I want it to open on the monitorwith the menu bar on top - just like every other program.)

I tried RED ALERT - can't you export to ProRes HQ in that program? I thought I did it before....
