I just received my Epic several days ago and have just fired it up. When looking through some of the specifications cataloged in the camera, it says it already has 20+ hours of usage on it. I assume Red does some tests on the camera before it is sent out but 20 hours?

I wouldn't worry about it. In fact it means your camera has had more attention and I consider that a good thing.

+1 I would hope that they did a burn in and testing for a day or so anyway.

Back when Epic first started shipping, Jarred posted a photo of a rack of Epics on a rack going through the burn-in process.

FWIW. My scarlet had less than 7 hours on it and unfortunately bricked at 25 hours. :(

I too would consider that a good thing. LOL

RED service is pretty good. Should have it back better than new soon.
