Great company, excellent customer service, they really stand behind their used lenses and are honest about the listed condition. Most used lenses have a 90 day warranty as well, so if the lens breaks down for some reason (other than misuse, of course), they'll take care of it.

For those who might be looking to make a set of their own I am (sadly) selling a number of extremely nice Leica R lenses due to substantial changes in my business model. They have not been nicely converted like the OP. They would make great candidates for the Duclos treatment however :)

I feel your pain man. Hey can you confirm that the latest version of the 28 has a built-in hood that can't be removed? Or can it?

Hi Mark,

The hood is screwed in place but, I assume by 4 simple screws. I'll try and check that for you tomorrow. I'm quite sure I read here somewhere that Duclos takes the hoods off the 28 version 2, so I know its possible one way or another.

Definitely a bummer selling these things. But don't cry for me too hard -- Ultra primes aren't that bad!
