Any one out there in Post land have any thoughts on the best way to keep the resolution and stabilizing aerials?
I have used AEFX CS5.5 pixel warp and stabilize with great results but wanted to find out if anyone has any other workflow info on how to keep the resolution hight so when you do stabilize the RD3 files, that we will be shooting at 5k or 4K we will keep the rez at the highest quality possibility for the final out. This would be with the AFEX CS6 or CS.5.
    Thanks

PS We are using and will be using a much faster FPS (60) or (100) and a fast shutter for the shooting already to give us as much info as possible.

I'm not sure where the issue is here Russ? You can stabilize R3D files in After Effects. They may get cut in to slightly which is an unavoidable consequence of stabilizing footage but this will be fairly minimal and unnoticeable with 4 or 5k footage.

Sounds like you have the best recipe. I shoot handheld from an F-16 at 48fps and a shutter speed of 1/396 in 5k. The stabilized shots look great and my stills are tack sharp.

No issue Stephen, it works great, I just wanted to double check my answers to make sure there is not anything Im missing or should be doing to make my product even better. I didn't know if I may need to export the files out of RCX to DPX'es or what ever to get better results. Whats cool is I seem to be able to do the one light in the RCX and then just import the clip with the adjustments made and do a final color in AFX and stabilize and export.
Thanks for all your input and if anyone else has any other clues to better workflow or results let me know.
