Cheap Chinese Craptastic ("C3") lights generally give awful color rendition which gets even worse after very little use. Stick to Cool Lights or Lite Panel.
They work great. 1/4 or half minus green brings them in line with daylight. You aren't going to rent them out, but they are perfectly fine for your own use. I know a bunch of guys with these. They hold up pretty well to abuse as well.

They put out more light than Kinos. I am not sure how to approximate the wattage since they are a soft source. I think they are pretty close to a mole 750 soft light in output, with a little more punch. If you look around ebay you can find them with a battery bracket or a 12volt input which is very usefull.

If you're ok with ugly skin rendition which 1/4 minus does not really fix, as parts of color spectrum are missing, then they are awesome. Low-end corporates love them for their ease of us, I don't because the quality is not there.
To at least some degree, you get what you pay for.
Rob is right, of course. Since filters only remove colors from the spectrum, missing holes in the spectrum can't be fixed by adding filters.
I definitely am not a fan of LEDs.
