just upgraded to lion, and finding that I can't drag and drop to two destinations at the same time. I copy and paste to one drive. that starts. than i copy and paste to another, it it spins up, but hangs up on the "calculating bytes" and stays like that until the first drive finishes copying. i also tried copying to two destinations at the same time via terminal and it still only copies to one place at a time.

anybody have or had this issue and know the work around?

the main issue is copying the SAME file to two destinations. if you copy two different files to two destinations it works perfectly! wtf is going on here...

edit: final verdict, unless somebody has the solution up their sleeves. this is def a os lion finder bug. tried on 5 systems. all the same issue.

luckily shotput pro bypasses the bug, it probably goes to the terminal level to do the copying, and opens a new session per destination to do that. i find that you can copy and paste to two drives from the same file as well if you just open up two terminal sessions yourself and copy to each drive separately.

i have a feeling r3d data manager does the same as well. it's a totally weird bug and could have killed a lot of on set backup workflows if finder copy ended up being your only choice.
