using it for some days now and it seems quiet fragile. Think Red should try to fix this and come up with something stronger

Nothing seems to work. I managed to get this to work once when I first got the camera and I have not been able to power the camera up via the battery since because I can't get them in. I'm going to contact RED. This really makes using the camera using the batteries very difficult.

For me it's definitely a heat related problem. There's never any trouble fitting the RedVolt in a cold camera but after it's been up and running for 30 minutes the second RedVolt will be much harder to get to stay in. I usually just hold the battery down with a finger while closing the battery bay door.

I contacted RED and I sent the handle back. I just got a new one today and it works perfectly! They sent me a FEDEX shipping info and turned around the fix in about a week. I didn't have to pay for shipping or anything. Thanks RED.

Can't this bracket just be replaced with metal/aluminum? Is it bending out of place, or just not strong enough to hold the battery in?

Open a ticket and get it repaired. Mine was out and back within 4 days and now it works perfectly.
