    Hello everyone,

I have searched on the forum and have found a few threads but no fix but to send the footage to Red. Does anyone have any suggestions to fix this. We have gone in post to merge and proportion the shots together but is there a software from Red that can fix it? We have tried it in AF and did a blur on the line with a blending mode but still not perfect.

    Cheers

POst a hi-rez pic of it and give as much info as you can: project settings etc...
Then better file a support ticket. Might just be a black calibration needed...or could be as bad as a video board replacement. But best to run some tests...I'd first do a black cal---warm up the camera for 10mins...then black calibrate and shoot again for testing...AND can you reproduce the LINE every time?

Hello Johnny, I will try to capture an image and do the test. I read that there was trouble was you use the zoom function and then press record. I do remember doing that so I will try it tomorrow and let you know the results.

I had this same issue, middle line through the footage on my red one.. Was shooting on CF cards, and it went across multiple cards.. Thiught it was an LCD issue untik I checked.. . Rebooted and used the hard drive. Good thing I checked and reshot everything. Not I am using SSD cards and haven't encountered this dreadful mishap since. Anybody know what happened?

Had it one shot on a Scarlet. A reboot fixed it.

The best simple way to fix it would probably to mask the line with the adjacent/nearby good pixel column - sort of how bad pixel masking is done, applied to the whole column of pixels, or you can think of it like wire removal or Photoshop clone stamp per frame.

I had what looked 100% like a dead pixel to me. Did a black shade and the pixel went away but now I have a line of grey pixels across part of my image. Seems like a mfr defect if we are all having the same issues. Anyone ever find out the cause or solution??

I had this happen to me. Contact someone from RED and they will send you a RedCine Line fix program. You drop them in there and it takes away the line. Then export out to whatever you need.
