Any 35mm 2x anamorphic glass will cover 5k anamorphic on epic just fine.

Of the 4-5 different anamorphic primes i had the chance to see project kowas had the greatest coverage area by far and slightly sharper than comparable cineovision, jdc glass of that time. best-buy for the money no doubt. soft wide open but sharpen rather quickly and corners look 'nice' at a t4... little bit of distortion on the 40mm, they breathe mostly on the x-axis, so im sure you'll get a little bit of the 'mumps'. easy to flair, point sources look like spikey sea-urchins and the horizontal flair stretches sharply from corner to corner.

I would buy them in a heart beat but I don't need to anymore!! you'll see.... soon there will be more kowas in LA than lomos.

tom, darryl didn't tell you they are reverse gear???

    just kidding :)

Darryl...Thanks for the purchase. I look forward to receiving them soon. So Excited!

As Mario commented, Their will be another set of Kowas in Los Angeles. I have plans for them to be in New Orleans, Dallas, & Houston most of the time since they don't have a lot of anamorphic's their.

I also have another set of Lomos that just arrived along with (2) Foton anamorphic zooms 37-140mm.
