  1. #1 AfterEffects CS6 annoying problem
I started CS6 AEX with a small project with Epic RAW 4K HD wich involves a lot of tracking (building papered with pics)
Tried out the camera tracker. works great, but as soon as all the colorful trackpoints are visible, AE freezes when I´m trying to search the suitable bulls eye.
Interestingly when I drive with my mouse or pen (wacom) very very slow through the points it works.
Wrote in AEX/Adobe forum my problem, but unfortunately nobody could help me.
Investigated further, to find out that it´s independent from the footage, with DSLR footage the same happens.
Tried all different settings in Preferences, Preview and multiprocessing, deinstalled nvidiaDrivers, reinstalled, tried different slots at my motherboard, but no change. So the problem must be in AEX, other apps work nearly without problems.
ok, there was another strange behavior with speedgrade, after
half an hour when no one is working at the station, I get a bluescreen, but I don´t think it´s the same issue.

Just to point out, AE was one of my most stable apps through all my years(3.1), but since CS5, it had its problems, and CS6.....I´m not sure.
Several years ago I worked a lot with speedgrade, never ever had a crash, now with CS6 back to the 90ies with bluescreen.
Premiere works great, absolutely no problems.

btw: workstation was clean win7 install and should be used only for CS6
    still on a trial version.

    here´s the thread at adobe:

Maybe anyone runs in a similar issue and can help me, or at least have a tip.
    thanks for your reading

Have you tried just a mouse. I had major problems when trying out the Wacom with Red Cine X Pro. If you have a mouse laying around it might be worth a try.

I have used the AE Tracker quite a bit on my latest project, saved a bunch of time from using an external tracker, and I haven't run into any crashing issues. Also running Win 7, core i7920 with 24GB ram, GTX 570.

    is this a custom build?

blue screen issues are usually from hardware. I recently put together a system myself and it took a good 3 months before my issues went away. The final issues ended up being 2 bad RAM sticks, a faulty sata port on MB, and bad graphics card.

If I were you I would start with RAM. You have 32GB so I would imagine most of it goes unused until you go into a program like AE. You're problem might be that After Effects is the only program that is using enough sticks to find the problem. Run a memory test program and then if needed swap out some sticks.
