looking to get this, looking to get the camera going up at 30 angle etc

wondering if this would be enough

    http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...Ball_Head.html $195

    http://www.kesslercrane.com/product-p/100154.htm $1199

    http://www.kesslercrane.com/category-s/123.htm $629

Than thinking about motorized slider so I could do even vertical and horizontal shots, any recommendations?

I been using the konova slider but it bends, Red is to heavy for it.

I like the Kessler shuttle pods if your going on a angle and it's somewhat heavy what your motion controlling. Shuttle pods also have a lot of options, so you can upgrade them. Look through Tom Lowe's posts for examples, or his web site.

When I'm at that angle, i also use the 2nd set of wheels, so if the weight on top is too much ... the entire thing doesn't fly off. Problem with the 2nd set of wheels though (which come on/off), is you can't use your jib but have to use the other rails they sell (since the 2nd set of wheels are over and under, and they can hit the knobs). Might be a way to put the jib knobs on so they don't hit (the jib rails are a bit smaller btw then the normal rails ... so have a small amount of play when running along the jib).

Tom's the guy to actually ask that question since he uses both I think. I have a cineslider, it's more lite weight, a lot more easier to do quick setups on ... but it takes some finesse to use it smoothly. If u need smooth movement over 6 feet though, for sure go with the shuttle pod (there is a new "mini" shuttle pod that will be out soon too ... which looks perty cool, but I haven't tried it).
