I'm working with Avid MC 6.0.1 on a MacPro (2x2.93 Ghz Quad-Core Intel Xeon w/ 18GB RAM on OS X v10.7.4).
We shooting R3D Epic in 5K. The media goes onto an internal 16TB Raid system (4x 4TB).
We've been linking the RED footage via AMA. The editorial process was fine for a while, but now an error has been coming up more and more:
AMA Producer Task::Execute AMA Plug-in Unable to Provide Sample
I haven't been able to completely understand the error. Everything plays fine and than it halts during playback. Once playback stopped, I can't even play the master clip any more. I matched back to it and tried stepping through it frame by frame, but the picture drops out at the same frame where it stopped playing in the timeline. I was able to bring it back online by re-importing via an ALE and was playable again. So I'm tempted to rule out a corrupt source file...
Is it just a speed thing (drive or CPU speed)?
Any idea would help.
Thanks,
Carsten
