So I'm looking at purchasing a laser rangefinder to add to my AC kit. Also could be helpful for stuff I shoot myself. I'm wondering what models everyone recommends. I've used HILT products before but don't wanna drop $500 bucks on something. Any suggestions?

Try bosch's...it's $100 and can be purchased at any local hardware store. It's incredibly accurate. Love mine

Cinematography Electronics CineTape is the industry standard but also expensive.

This one kicks ass. A friend demo'd his for me and I wanted to throw my Hilti PD-42 away. The built in camera for bright daylight measurements is incredible. Light years better than the silly peep site. Perhaps a tad pricey (equivalent to a Disto) but if focus is your livelihood, money well spent.

I am also using Bosch. It works perfect and is very affordable.
