iPads tend not to display embedded video links on RedUser for some reason. If you quote the message as if to reply you can then copy and paste the link into your browser window. It is: https://vimeo.com/42802784?v=1

What would you recommend for makeup? Or maybe you can direct me to some place I can read more into it? I didn't have a film makeup artist, she did it herself along with the stylist.

I was actually planning on turning it into a small story, and I still may... by adding something at the beginning and end. But I did get some good stills from it, which I will put up soon.

Will definitely keep that in mind for next time. I was going for a light feel to it, with lots of white and light colors, maybe I went a bit too far, haha.

Thank you both for the feedback!!
Thank you for taking my criticism as what it was meant to be : constructive.

Many indy film makeup artists don't really know how to do fashion, or even how to do women. If makeup of a principle takes less than an hour, I start to worry.

Look at fashion magazines on a very regular basis and try to figure out what they did and what they used. I've taken makeup workshops whenever they are offered here in Montreal, and they help me have more involved discussions with makeup. MAC used to offer a makeup course, if they do again I will take it.

In fashion and certain types of ads and music video, styling is more than half the game.

But you have to genuinely love this stuff. I grew up fascinated with my mother's magazines and the strange dreamlike world fashion photography presented.

Makeup definitely didn't take longer than an hour, haha. We actually only had 2 hours to use the location when we got there, kinda sucked but I had to make do with what I had. I will look into taking a makeup class since that should help me with other projects as well. Great idea!

This was my first shoot of its kind. I wasn't really sure if I was going to love it or hate it, or if I could even pull it off. But I actually ended up really enjoying it and I think I could do some more of these.
