One thousand clips? Wow.
Yep, same here.
When you're on a two-camera RED doc shoot for nearly three weeks, the number of clips adds up fast!
Update: only occurs when redline is used for the render. Everything seems to be fine without using redline. Also, using redline (even when render submit doesn't result in a crash) can be finicky: I've submitted batches of a few hundred clips, only to find that some clips didn't render out at all - i.e., I submit 394 clips for render, but I only see 364 clips in Finder once the render is done.
For now, rendering without redline - but that kind of sucks, because only one clips renders at once. The batch is quite a bit slower going one at a time.
Anyone know what might be going on here? I ended up finishing the transcodes by doing batches of no more than a couple hundred at a time, but it'd be great to be able to have redcine deal with this by itself :)
Still looking into it :) What format are you transcoding to?
Cheers,
David
Cool. Transcoding to Prores - specifically, 1280x540 Prores LT.
