  1. #1 Nearly new FF5 with prime lens gear
I have an FF5 with the dumb side knob, marking disks, 15mm and 19mm adapter, 0.5 focus gear, also a gear for primes other accessories and case for sale. Bought for hiring out but isn't suitable for our needs. I'm open to genuine and sensible offers.

Based in the UK, will ship worldwide.

Why don't you like the FF5?

    Hi Chris,
Nothing wrong with it whatsoever and to those doomsayers out there, with the 43 tooth gear Arri GB says the FF5 will work fine with ultraprimes. If you bought the optional 64 tooth gear from arri, the ratio goes down to 0.8:1 compared to the FF4 1:1.

This unit was bought by mistake and is surplus to our requirements (we got two, we're keeping one of them)

    Hello Johnny,

The 0.5 module is not the same as a 32 tooth inch gear. That would be the 0.8 module. The 0.5 and the 0.6 module pitch are used on video zoom lenses.

    cheers,

Just to clarify, the kit includes a 0.5 standard gear and a 0.8 module gear (I believe it is the 43 teeth version for 35mm primes) There is also a 0.8 module 64 teeth available gear from Arri for master primes if required etc

working on an Ultra Prime has nothing to do with the gear, the arm is too long. If you use Cine lenses, this is not the appropriate FF. I'm not a doomsayer, just stating the cold hard facts. been there, done that...If you have video lenses, its a great product.

Or if you're working with standard speeds exclusively as they have a small barrel diameter.
