Have been using FSI monitors for the past couple years. For the money , features and quality you cannot beat it.
Every time they do a firmware upgrade its basically like getting features other companies charge for in a new monitor.

You can send it in to Flanders and they will calibrate it for you. You just pay for shipping.

I wouldn't go a week without calibrating the monitor, not for serious color correction. All of them drift to some degree. And I wouldn't trust a calibration service that ships the monitor to me in the mail, because the monitor's going to bounce around all over the place and get subjected to heat and cold. To me, it's got to be calibrated in the actual place in which it's used.

The main issue I have with the Flanders monitor is that you still have the problems with off-angle viewing as with almost every LCD (except for Dolby's). As long as only two people are going to watch it, and they're directly in front of the monitor, it can work OK. For a room full of people -- or as we call it in LA, "color by committee" -- I think a 50" plasma monitor is more practical for HD.
