i am a new scarlet user with a couple questions. i am using firmware 3.0.7.

i have found some odd behavior when using "clean/preview/overlay" modes on the touch screen. i would like to be able to use my user-assigned false color buttons when monitoring in one of these modes, but the buttons do not function unless i am in the traditional "menus" view mode.

the weird part is this: i can turn on false color in "menus" mode, then switch over to one of the other view modes, and the image remains in false color as expected. i can then use my shortcut key to toggle the false color off. so far so good. but when i press the toggle button again, false color does not show up on the touch screen. instead, when i switch back to menus mode, the white "E check mark" shows up at the bottom of the screen, even though false color is not actually showing up in the image. very strange.

my second question: is there a way in this firmware to assign a button to view redlogfilm, or toggle between redgamma3 and redlogfilm? i found an option to toggle between redgamma2 and redgamma3, but i couldnt find an option to quickly view redlogflm. i think maybe the beta firmware they are working on has a more robust keymapping system though.

    thanks for your help!

Just wanted to chime in that I get the same results as you regarding false color and any viewing mode other than "menus" over HDMI. I wonder if it works with SDI? I don't yet have a monitor to check that.

    Hej mike
With the newest firmware you are able to save complete camera presets.
You could create a preset with redgamma3 and another preset with redlogfilm.
and then you can assign any key to switch between these presets.
i usually use the buttons 1 to 4 on the sidehandle with different presets assigned.
