  1. #1 Synced high-speed flash for high FPS shooting with Epic: does this exist?
Just wondering whether such a thing as synchronized high-speed flash exists and would be usable/functional with the Epic. It seems to me this would solve some of the problems associated with flicker, etc.

Any ideas, comments or suggestions on the subject?

You can try searching the site. Previous conversations talked about LOW speed flashes that would last for several frames and not have the harsh broken in half look.

It occurred to me that maybe they can make some sort of material to put in front of a normal flash that would decay slowly, stretch out the duration of the flash a little? That could work, some kind of phosphor filter.

This type of system does exist for high speed film cameras! Not sure if it talks to the sync output of an epic. Theoretically it shouldn't be a problem as long as the flash is of a short enough duration, and is in sync with the shutter.
