Not a complaint but a request, can you make a exposure mode to have fixed f-stop when using Canon lenses with non-constant aperture?

    +1.

I think this should be coming in a next firmware upgrade. I don't consider this a complaint but a small heads up to add this for a future firmware. i don't have a non constant aperture zoom lens, but Kaku talked about one lens that I actually use in my Grand Prix coverage, which is the 28-300 L IS and that its causing him problems with auto "opening iris" when he zooms out. I don't see many other non constant aperture zoom lens from canon being used in the Epic to be honest, so maybe a fix for this particular lens would suffice? Like I said I haven't tried this but I trust Kaku and Carlos and according to them it doesn't stay in 5.6. So this post is in support of them both :) (and myself since there's a high probability I'll be using that lens come November).
